A Power BI expert is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and reports. They play a crucial role in helping organizations make data-driven decisions.

Project / Delivery Management
- Develop and Design Dashboards : Create visually appealing and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Data Integration : Connect Power BI to various data sources, including SQL Server, Excel, cloud services, and other databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Data Modeling : Build and maintain complex data models using Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot to support business analysis.
- DAX Formulas : Write and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to create custom calculations and measures.
- Performance Optimization : Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, ensuring fast and efficient data retrieval and visualization.
- Collaboration : Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Training and Support : Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities, helping them to leverage the tool effectively.
- Stay Updated : Keep abreast of the latest Power BI features, updates, and best practices to continuously improve the organizations BI capabilities.
- Workspace Management : Manage and maintain Power BI workspaces, datasets, dataflows, and ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.
- Automation : Utilize Power Automate to automate workflows and integrate Power BI with other Microsoft and third-party applications.
- Advanced Analytics : Implement advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling and machine learning, within Power BI to enhance data insights.
- Custom Visuals : Develop and integrate custom visuals in Power BI to meet specific business needs.
- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of Power BI solutions, including data models, DAX formulas, and integration processes.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough testing and validation of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Integration with azure data bricks/delta lake in the data source

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView, Free customized tools etc).
- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R) for data analysis.
- Certification in Power BI or related technologies.
Experience
- 12+ yrs of overall experience developing Data Engineering solutions on cloud platforms
- 2+ yrs of experience with MS Azure.
- Proficiency in creating impactful visualizations using Power BI.
- Strong skills in designing and implementing data models.
- Expertise in writing complex DAX formulas.
- Experience in cleaning and preparing data using Power Query.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering insights through Power BI.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Familiarity with integrating Power BI with other Microsoft applications.
