Sr System Administrator

You'll be Responsible for?

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across various distributions (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network performance.
• Manage and maintain user profiles, access control, and permissions.
• Administer virtual environments, including managing and monitoring vCenter.
• Perform system monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to ensure system integrity and data protection.
• Automate routine tasks and processes using shell scripting or other automation tools.
• Conduct regular system audits and manage patching, updates, and upgrades.
• Monitor system logs and identify potential issues before they impact production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications and infrastructure.

You'd have?

• Strong knowledge of Linux architecture and major distributions (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Experience with Linux installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in user profile and access management.
• Experience managing virtual environments, particularly with vCenter.
• Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security concepts (firewalls, VPNs).
• Hands-on experience with shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Ansible).
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as RHCE or VMware certifications.
• Experience with database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or in a similar role.
