Head of Sales
Job Purpose:
- The role is responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive omni-channel sales strategy for a well-established brand in the home and kitchen appliances and smallwares sector.
- With a strong foundation and a vision for exponential growth, the organization seeks a dynamic leader who can seamlessly integrate traditional, modern, and digital sales channels to drive significant market expansion and revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities:
Omni-Channel Sales & Business Expansion:
- Develop and implement a high-impact omni-channel sales strategy, ensuring seamless integration between general trade, modern trade, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales.
- Leverage data analytics to create personalized, consumer-driven sales approaches, aligning digital and physical store experiences.
- Identify and capitalize on new market trends and emerging distribution channels to enhance accessibility and penetration in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities.
- Strengthen partnerships with retailers, online marketplaces, and new-age commerce platforms to optimize sales performance.
Channel & Distribution Network Optimization:
- Expand and strengthen the distribution network, ensuring efficient inventory flow and streamlined supply chain coordination.
- Build and manage a hybrid distribution model, leveraging both traditional wholesale partners and modern fulfillment centers for faster deliveries.
- Drive engagement initiatives with channel partners, distributors, and retailers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Optimize trade partner incentive programs to enhance sales execution and brand presence across multiple retail formats.
Sales Operations & Customer Engagement:
- Reinforce the brand's presence in traditional and modern retail formats, ensuring a high-value shopping experience across all channels.
- Implement data-driven sales planning, forecasting, and P&L ownership to optimize revenue streams and profitability.
- Enhance customer lifecycle engagement strategies across offline and online touchpoints, ensuring a consistent brand experience.
- Oversee digital and in-store promotions, leveraging targeted marketing activations and sales campaigns.
E-commerce & Digital Sales Acceleration:
- Develop and execute a structured digital commerce strategy, ensuring competitive positioning across online marketplaces and D2C platforms.
- Collaborate with marketing and tech teams to improve conversion rates and optimize digital consumer journeys.
- Strengthen the synergy between physical and digital storefronts, ensuring smooth transitions for hybrid shopping behaviors.
- Utilize AI-driven insights for price optimization, personalized promotions, and demand forecasting.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing omni-channel sales team, ensuring seamless collaboration between online and offline sales units.
- Develop competency-building programs for sales teams and trade partners to ensure proficiency in multi-channel engagement strategies.
- Foster a culture of performance, adaptability, and consumer-first approach, ensuring an agile salesforce equipped for rapid shifts in the market.
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the sales force, creating an innovative and high-performance team environment.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct ongoing market research and consumer behavior analysis to fine-tune omni-channel sales strategies.
- Leverage technology-driven insights to track evolving shopping trends, channel effectiveness, and customer buying patterns.
- Work closely with product development teams to align offerings with consumer preferences and emerging lifestyle trends.
Competencies Required:
- Omni-Channel Sales Leadership: Ability to create and drive seamless multi-channel sales strategies.
- Channel & Distribution Management: Expertise in managing hybrid distribution networks.

Experience:
- 12-18 years of experience in sales leadership roles within consumer durables, home and kitchen appliances, small wares, FMCG, or allied sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in driving omni-channel sales growth, including general trade, modern trade, D2C, and e-commerce.
- Proven track record of scaling businesses and expanding market reach in emerging geographies and Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities.
- Strong ability to build and optimize hybrid sales & distribution models for sustainable growth.
Qualification:
- MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
