Chief Financial Officer - Equity Firm - CA (10-15 yrs)

Role: Chief Financial Officer.

Reporting Structure: The position reports to the CEO of the company.

Company: Subsidiary of Italian MNC.

Location: Pune, Maharashtra (Plant location: Talegaon).

Company overview:.

Established in 2021, the company is a Joint Venture between European group, based in Italy and Private Equity Family office based in India.

The company has been established to bring together global technology, quality and manufacturing standards in Gas Metering, and local "Made in India" manufacturing with the objective to establishing a leading company in the gas metering segment in India.

Position Summary:.

The CFO will be a key member of the core senior leadership team and a member of the Managing committee of the company.

The CFO is expected to play an active business partner role to the CEO in accomplishing strategic goals of the company as approved in the business plan.

Needless to add, the CFO will have fiduciary responsibilities to the board to ensure Corporate Governance standards are always maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:.

- Accounting and Financial controls.

- Banking, Insurance and Treasury.

- Taxation & Legal.

- MIS and Reporting.

- Audits (Statutory, TP, PF, COST, Tax).

- Exim and all compliances under company law.

- IT & Digital Initiatives.

- Risk Management and Corporate Governance.

- Being JV of European company, the candidate will be expected to comply with both Indian Accounting requirements as well as European requirements as the financials of the company will get consolidated into the European parent company books.

- Hence conversancy with Global accounting standards is essential.

- The candidate should have independently handled up to final closure, at least 4-5 years of complete Statutory Audit in his present assignment.

- In addition, complete knowledge of the treasury function and indirect taxation in the GST regime is essential.

- Being a JV and with expected two-way trade between the Indian JV and the European Partner, knowledge of EXIM rules and Transfer Pricing rules and compliances under the law is important.

- Another key responsibility is for the IT systems of the company.

- A good knowledge of SAP is a pre-requisite, as the person is expected to provide leadership and guidance to the IT function, which of course, will be led by an IT professional.

- In summary, we expect the CFO to be more of a strategic business partner and a sounding board to the CEO, beyond the traditional responsibilities of a CFO in Accounting and MIS.

- A progressive mind set with a strong business & technology orientation and global thinking will be required to make the cut.

- Appreciation of cultural differences and the ability to adjust and adapt in working with Global partners will be a key success factor for this profile.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

- CA.

- 10-15 years experience in finance functions with progressive responsibilities in Financial controllership and business finance.

- Manufacturing industry experience is a must.

- Additional qualifications in costing, secretarial, legal and/ or management is a plus.
