Purchase Assistant

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and documentation.
• Track and monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
• Support the team in negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
• Verify product specifications and quality of goods received.
• Assist with managing supplier relationships and performance.
• Process invoices and ensure accuracy before submitting for approval.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty claims as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities and provide updates to the Purchasing Manager.
• Perform any other duties as required to support the procurement team.
