Job Description

  • Conducts briefing for Housekeeping Attendants.
  • Inform the Executive Assistant Housekeeper about any damage or theft, loss to guest rooms.
  • Ensures areas of responsibilities are maintained with high level of cleanliness.
  • Supervises daily, super cleaning and periodical cleaning of rooms.
  • Ensures rooms are prepared for renovations.
  • Coordinates Single Entry System with Room Service, Laundry, Maintenance, Florist and Front Office.
  • Supervises and coordinates pest control, flowers, plants and periodical cleaning operations in rooms.
  • Conducts on-going training and coaches all employees and maintains all records.
  • Reports maintenance defects and follows up.
  • Cleaning of rooms in emergency situations.
  • Inspects for cleanliness, proper amenities placement and room setup and maintenance defects.
  • Reports rooms requiring upgrade to the Executive Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Always acknowledges guests with a courteous greeting with a smile ensures her staff do the same
  • All lost and found articles are reported immediately to the desk coordinator
  • Ensures that Housekeeping Attendants are adhering to the Company s Environmental Procedures
  • Ensures all Housekeeping Attendants maintain their equipment properly.
  • Ensures that there is adequate equipment s and that they are in working condition
  • Ensures that all soiled linen and garbage is removed from the floor
  • Requisitions for all stocks required for the floor, i.e. amenities, linens, cleaning supplies and materials weekly.
  • Maintains pantries with par stock of linen, household cleaning supplies and guest request items.
  • Ensures guests special requests are delivered and then returned to the department.
  • Supervises and keeps records of various task that have been completed
  • Gives inputs with regards to housekeeping meeting and always attends
  • Follows emergency procedures
  • Performs any other tasks requested by the Executive Assistant Housekeeper
  • Monitoring of T.B.E.M processes.
  • Implementing monitoring ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, EMPs OTs, OCPs and training of staff.

Requirements :
  • Demonstrates an ability to acquire the following attributes: leadership, initiative, problem solving, prioritizing, delegation, training and developing subordinates, goal setting and being goal oriented.
  • Thorough knowledge of modern housekeeping techniques and the latest in cleaning technology, hygiene and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of various chemicals and cleaning equipments.
  • Inventory managing and budgeting.
  • Exhibits excellent grooming standards.
  • Has excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is proficient in using computers-MS Office.
