The role holder is responsible for steering specific technical teams, work areas, or projects towards successful completion. This role involves guiding the team through detailed discussions, task allocation, and progress analysis to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Project Planning & Management :
1. Provide overarching governance for projects, ensuring the performance and metrics align with the company's strategic objectives.
2. Approve Waterfall/Agile methodologies and implementation plans, aligning them with organizational goals.
3. Lead the Center of Expertise, establishing guidelines, and driving consistency and effectiveness in Automation work area.
4. Provide guidance regarding program management including usage of tools & methodologies like Visio, RPA, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power BI, Qlik, JIRA, etc for various projects within the portfolio, setting objectives, defining deliverables, and establishing timelines.
5. Review program performance, identify potential roadblocks or challenges, and devise remedial strategies or provide direction, ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of solutions.
6. Coordinate with Business users & Development team to proactively ensure smooth and fast capturing of business requirements, within the set timelines and without escalations.
Resource Planning & Allocation :
1. Develop and implement roadmaps for resource planning and allocation, considering current and future project demands
2. Allocate tasks among team members based on their skills, experience, and project needs.
3. Define daily targets and monitor individual and team performance to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards
4. Stay updated with the latest digital technologies and industry best practices to lead the team in adopting innovative solutions"
Process Optimization:
1. Drive continuous improvement within project teams, facilitating performance measures, and promoting best practices
2. Approve changes to processes with an intent of improving efficiency, productivity, and overall performance
3. Liaison with hardware, software, and service vendors in the ecosystem including contract negotiation and collaboration agreements"
Vendor Management (Team Lead):
1. Establish a robust vendor management process, starting from vendor selection to contract negotiations and management.
2. Assess vendor performances regularly, ensuring they meet the service-level agreements, quality, timeline requirements and required Tec stacks are utilized in solution delivery.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing any issues promptly, and ideating on countermeasures to avoid any potential risks or challenges.
Additional Areas :
1. Managing a team of business analysts and overseeing their work.
2. Developing department standards, managing projects, training junior analysts, and serving as subject matter experts.
3. Leverage technology to help reduce manual tasks and continually improve on the requirement gathering as well as project documentation process.
4. Prepare periodic reports on project status, progress, risks, deadlines and resource requirements.
