Indirect Tax Manager

Role & responsibilities

Tax Compliance:

• Oversee and manage tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns, payments, and statutory compliances.
• Conduct regular tax audits and assessments to ensure compliance with the latest tax regulations.

Tax Planning & Advisory:

• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying tax-saving opportunities and risk management strategies.
• Advise clients on tax implications of various business transactions and decisions.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for clients across various sectors.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored tax solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related queries from clients.
• Regularly update clients on new tax laws, amendments, and their potential impact.

Team Management & Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops for the team.

Coordination with Authorities:

• Liaise with tax authorities and government bodies on behalf of clients for assessments, audits, and other tax-related matters.
• Represent clients in case of disputes or litigation with tax authorities.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in tax compliance and reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good and Service Tax Act
  Review of monthly GST return working for the companies having turnover more than 100
  crores.
  Managing GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C assignments including planning of the assignments,
  Preparation of working and filing of the same.
  Preparation and filing of GST Refunds and co-ordinating with the department for processing
  the refund.
  Effectively understanding & responding to regular Indirect Tax queries received from the
  clients.
  Preparing and submitting data for Departmental Audit.
  Handled litigation matters of the clients such as filing of reply to notice issue on various point
  raised by officer in GST, drafting replies to ASMT 10, drafting replies to show cause notices
  and representing clients in personal hearings, drafting appeals.
  Mentoring/ guiding consultants and trainees of the team.
• INCOME TAX ACT
  Review of Monthly TDS working prepared by the clients and accordingly guiding clients for
  making monthly TDS payments.
  Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS and TCS Returns.
  Preparation of quarterly Advance Tax working.
  Preparation of computation of tax and accordingly filing of Income tax return for Individuals
  and Companies.
  Preparation and filing of Tax Audit Report.
  Provided support in ensuring Transfer Pricing Compliance for clients.
