Cloud Engineer

Job Summary As a Cloud Engineer, the desired candidate will serve as a technical expert, providing guidance & supporting complex multi-cloud infrastructure deployments by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, scalability & security of the entire IT Environment. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, implementing, and managing our multi-cloud deployments for high availability that serve business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & deploy scalable & sustainable multi-cloud infrastructure solutions on Hybrid and multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Manage and monitor cloud services, including compute, storage, RDS, Networking, Serverless, and PaaS services.
• Collaborate with development teams to define application architectures and deployment strategies in cloud environments.
• Must have knowledge of S3, EBS, EFS, Snapshot, Encryption, Key Management & IAM etc.
• Create and maintain up-to-date architecture diagrams, documentation & CMDB business view.
• Evaluate various CSP technologies, tools, services & offerings and recommend appropriate solutions that align with business needs.
• Automate deployment & management processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) etc.
• Establish best practices for cloud governance, security, and compliance for secure & scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness, implementing best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies & industry trends and recommend new solutions, enhancements, recommendations for improvements

• Stay up to date with cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and new solutions.

• Document cloud architecture, processes, and procedures for future reference.

Desired skills Profession Qualification

• Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Must know CSPM tools to monitor & manage the posture of deployments.
• Must have run WAR exercise more than once.
• Experienced with DevSecOps practices & CI/CD pipelines would be an added advantage.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, security practices, and best practices in cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Knowledge of database management systems and data storage solutions.
