Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales and expand our market share in the industrial pump sector, specifically targeting multistage pumps for the power, steel, oil & gas, and fertilizer industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent networking abilities, and a proven track record in business development and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business growth and market penetration in power, steel, oil & gas, and fertilizer sectors.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, EPC contractors, consultants, and decision-makers in target industries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals and post-sales relationship management.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to provide customized solutions that meet client specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and commercial offers to clients.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development and sales of industrial pumps, with a focus on multistage pumps.
  • Strong knowledge of power, steel, oil & gas, and fertilizer industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within India and occasionally abroad.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with EPC companies and public sector enterprises.
  • Established network of contacts in the target industries.
  • MBA in Sales/Marketing (preferred but not mandatory).
