Technical sales engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Technical Consultation:
   
• Understand customer requirements, technical challenges, and provide appropriate solutions using the companys products.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with customers.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and quotations in collaboration with the sales and engineering teams.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
   
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Address customer inquiries and provide post-sales technical support when needed.
3. Market and Product Knowledge:
   
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
• Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer requirements and industry demand.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
   
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project statuses.
• Submit regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial) or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in technical sales, preferably in manufacturing, HVAC, or engineering products.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of technical products and their applications.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Sales Skills: Proven ability in consultative selling and relationship management.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
