Job Description



Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

AWS Cloud Solution Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using AWS services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture and a proven track record of delivering high-quality cloud solutions.

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Architectural Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway).


  • Client Consultation: Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and recommend best practices for cloud adoption and migration.


  • Technical Leadership: Lead architectural reviews and provide technical direction to development teams, ensuring alignment with established AWS standards and practices.


  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment plans, and operational procedures.


  • Performance Optimization: Evaluate existing cloud infrastructures and identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.


  • Availability and Reliability: Design and implement strategies to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud solutions, including failover mechanisms, disaster recovery, and redundancy planning.


  • Security Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to industry security standards and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.


  • Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, DevOps, development, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.


  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest AWS developments, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve cloud architecture practices.


    • Technical Skills:


  • AWS Services: Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and others.


  • Cloud Architecture: Strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices and design patterns.


  • Security Standards: Knowledge of security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).


  • DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.


  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.


  • Networking: Understanding of network architecture, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancing.


    • Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on AWS solutions.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions for enterprise-level applications.
  • Experience working in a client-facing role, providing technical guidance and consulting.


    • Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into cloud solutions.
  • Lead architectural discussions with development teams to review designs and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Create and update architecture diagrams and documentation for cloud solutions.
  • Perform assessments of existing cloud environments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams to discuss project progress and technical challenges.


    • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) is highly desirable.


    • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
