Job Description

As an Area Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting and selling the company's engineering products and solutions in a designated region. This role involves both technical expertise and sales acumen, as you'll be engaging with customers to understand their needs, presenting technical solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and help drive business growth.


Male candidates only as it is Field Sales.


Key Responsibilities:


Customer Support and After-Sales Assistance:

    • Provide technical support to resolve customer queries and issues post-purchase.
    • Assist customers in troubleshooting and finding solutions to technical problems with products.
    • Ensure timely resolution of any technical concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Sales and Business Development:

    • Focus on acquiring new clients and expanding the customer base within key industrial segments, including Power, Chemicals, Oil Refineries, Pumps, Filters, Pipes & Flanges, Heat Exchangers, Instruments, and other relevant industries.
    • Retain and nurture existing business relationships while exploring opportunities for further sales growth.
    • Regularly travel to meet industrial clients in and around the state, offering products and solutions tailored to their needs.

Technical Knowledge and Communication:

    • Understand and communicate technical product specifications, filtration/separation techniques, and the benefits of products to clients.
    • Actively listen to customer needs and provide clear, accurate product recommendations.
    • Maintain strong communication with customers in both English and Hindi, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all interactions.

Quotation Preparation and Business Development:

    • Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations based on customer requirements.
    • Ensure that offers are submitted promptly and meet the client's specifications.

Target Achievement and Field Visits:

    • Meet weekly field visit targets, ensuring consistent and effective customer outreach.
    • Identify and generate new sales opportunities in industrial sectors through visits and proactive engagement.

Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build long-term relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.

Qualifications:


  • Prior experience of 0-5 years in direct sales within technical industrial sectors (e.g., Power, Chemicals, Oil Refineries, Pumps, Filters, etc.).
  • Basic technical knowledge in filtration/separation techniques (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in English and Hindi, with clear communication skills.
  • A passion for sales and the ability to understand and meet customer requirements.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to meet clients across various locations.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to articulate solutions effectively.

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).

  • Experience:

    • 0-5 years of experience in sales or technical roles within an engineering or manufacturing industry.

  • Skills:

    • Strong technical knowledge of the companies products and solutions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers.
    • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Key Attributes:

    • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated with a passion for sales and engineering solutions.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
