Job Purpose

▪ Responsible for executing/implementing the PR and Communications strategy for select portfolios at Swiggy

▪ Work closely with AVP-PR and Communications

▪ Responsible for delivering engaging and consumable content in different formats for the target audience


Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in journalism, strategic communications, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience of working in Corporate Communications/ PR agency in/for a
  • new-age company preferred
  • Digital agency/content experience can be an advantage
  • Understanding of policy communications needed
  • Experience of working with a range of startups preferred
  • Experience of working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in defining the PR and Communications of a new-age brand
  • Experience of working with a listed brand can be an advantage
  • Ability to build PR and Communications strategy across domains
  • Experience in writing various forms of content including press releases, FAQs, authored articles, blogs, case studies, social media content, storyboard, amongst others, while ensuring a consistent, targeted, and impactful message across all mediums
  • Partner with in-house and external graphic designers and other media- production specialists who are integral to the completion of Communication projects
  • Understanding of media landscape with existing media contacts in the startup beat
  • Understanding of public policy and industry associations. Experience of working in this domain is an advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of social media and event curation
  • Contributes ideas for new programs around PR and communications, researching and recommending innovative Communication techniques for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to research and understand key business challenges, customer behavior, target audiences, competitive activity, and environmental factors that impacts programs
  • Understanding of social listening/digital analysis tools to track impact
  • Knowledge of new age/ digital mediums preferred so as to devise strategies to leverage the same

Internal Nature or purpose of interaction

  • Marketing Team - Work in sync with Marketing Team for graphics/ videos and other forms of content creation including social media related content from brand and leaders’ handles
  • Data/ Research/ Insights Team -To define content pillars/ themes based on data
  • Sales/ Business team - Partner with Sales/ Business Teams to understand new launches. Also, partner with them to craft impactful case studies/ merchant stories as well as push them to the right audience

External Nature or purpose of interaction

  • Customers - Connect with partners to carve out soft stories on impact
  • Agencies - Work closely with agency partners to ensure high-quality output in a timely manner
