Job Description


Job Title: Plant HR Head

Department: Human Resource

Reports To: CHRO

Location: Mitrol, Palwal

Salary:12 -18 LPA
Summary:
The Plant HR Head is a senior-level HR professional responsible for leading and managing plant HR functions of multiple plants. This role requires extensive experience in manufacturing environments, strong leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of labour laws and compliance. The Plant HR Head will oversee a large workforce (800-2000 employees/workers) and ensure effective implementation of HR strategies that support business objectives, foster positive employee relations, and maintain a compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement plant HR strategies aligned with the plant's business goals and the overall organizational strategy. Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures.
  2. Talent Management: Oversee all aspects of contractual workforce, manpower planning, including recruitment, on-boarding, training, and development.
  3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations (IR): Manage employee relations and industrial relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. Handle grievances & disciplinary actions. Maintain strong relationships with local labor authorities.
  4. Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labor Act, ESI, PF, etc.). Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Keep abreast of changes in labour legislation and update HR policies accordingly.
  5. Compensation & Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with market trends. Manage payroll processing and compliance.
  6. Performance Management: Implement and manage performance management systems to drive employee performance and achieve business objectives. Provide guidance and training to managers on performance management best practices.
  7. HR Operations: Oversee all HR operations, including HRIS management, record keeping, and reporting. Ensure accurate and timely data management.
  8. Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR budget for the plant(s), ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
  9. Change Management: Lead and support organizational change initiatives within the plant(s).
  10. Safety & Welfare: Collaborate with the safety department to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Oversee employee welfare initiatives.
  11. Managing Multiple Units: If responsible for multiple units, ensure consistent HR practices and policies across all locations. Coordinate HR activities and resources effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferably LLB.
  2. 15-20 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  3. Proven experience managing a large workforce (800-2000 employees/workers).
  4. Experience in handling multiple manufacturing units/plants is highly desirable.
  5. Extensive knowledge of Indian labour laws, IR practices, and compliance requirements.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  8. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR technology tools.
  9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  10. Fluency in local language(s) and English.
  11. Computer Skills (PowerPoint & Excel)
