Plant Human Resource Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Industrial Relations (IR):
• Ensure harmonious industrial relations by maintaining a positive and proactive relationship with employees, contractors, and labor unions.
• Manage collective bargaining, grievance redressal, and employee conflict resolution effectively.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate and resolve industrial disputes.
2. Contract Labour Management:
• Oversee and manage the engagement, deployment, and welfare of contract labor.
• Ensure adherence to contractual terms and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Monitor labor productivity and address performance or behavioral issues in coordination with contractors.
3. Statutory Compliance:
• Ensure full compliance with statutory and legal requirements related to labor laws, ESI, PF, and other applicable acts.
• Manage inspections, audits, and liaise with government authorities as required.
• Maintain and update all statutory records and documentation.
4. HR Strategy & Operations:
• Drive HR policies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning for plant-level operations.
• Ensure effective employee engagement, training, and development programs.
5. Policy Implementation:
• Implement and monitor HR and IR policies to foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and inclusivity.
• Regularly review policies to ensure relevance and alignment with organizational needs and labor laws.
6. Crisis Management:
• Lead crisis management efforts related to workforce issues, strikes, or labor disruptions.
• Develop contingency plans to ensure smooth operations in adverse situations.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in HR & IR, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial setup.
• Education: Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• Expertise: Proven experience in contract labor management, statutory compliance, and handling labor unions.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Tamil and English is essential
