Mechanical Engineer - Blade Test Centre (BTCG)

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role or industry (wind energy preferred).
  
• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  
• Strong understanding of blade testing procedures and techniques used in the renewable energy sector.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Effective technical skills, the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, creativity, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, commercial awareness, and team-working skills.
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and supervising engineering and technical staff.
• Capable of carrying out technical calculations for the development of new test setups & design drawings (mechatronics/hydraulics/electrical & instrumentation).
• Monitor and analyse mechanical devices for problems and solving skills related to hydraulic/electromechanical/electronic systems.
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or others)
• Proficient in designing, developing, and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices.
• Verification of correct equipment operation through laboratory and in-field instrument checks.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments/transducers/sensors.
• Recommend changes/improvements in test setup preparation to the Manager-Projects/HOD.
• Completes tasks within designated time, keeping project activity on schedule.
• Conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports at meetings.
• Design control systems for testing setup systems.
• Knowledge of quality management system (ISO 9001:2015, OHSAS-18001, ISO/IEC 17025)
• Create mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechatronic design concepts
• Monitor or calibrate automated systems, industrial control systems, or system components to maximize efficiency of production.
