Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Business Development:
    • Drive new business opportunities by generating leads, networking, and fostering relationships with potential clients in the solar industry.
    • Educate clients about the benefits of solar energy systems and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
    • Present proposals, contracts, and other documentation to clients, securing sales and managing negotiations.
    • Maintain and grow long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  2. Project Management:
    • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including system design, budgeting, procurement, and installation scheduling.
    • Work closely with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
    • Oversee site assessments and system installation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality control.
  3. Client Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing any client concerns in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that all required documentation and permits are acquired for each project.
  4. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and operations, to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams to ensure a high level of performance.
  5. Reporting & Analytics:
    • Track sales performance and project progress using internal tools and dashboards.
    • Create regular reports on project status, budgets, and timelines for upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or project management, ideally within the renewable energy or solar sector.
    • Strong understanding of solar technology, market trends, and relevant regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills.
    • Strong project management skills with experience managing budgets, timelines, and teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Ability to use project management software and CRM tools effectively.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
