Role & responsibilities

As an Audit Trainee specializing in Retail Audits, you will be part of a dynamic audit team responsible for assessing the financial and operational processes within retail environments. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience who are eager to start a career in auditing. You will receive hands-on training and guidance from experienced auditors, helping you develop the skills necessary to excel in this field. Key Responsibilities: Assist in Retail Audits: Participate in the planning and execution of retail audits under the guidance of senior auditors. Assist in reviewing and analyzing financial records, inventory systems, and operational procedures within retail outlets. Data Collection & Analysis: Collect data on sales, inventory, expenses, and other key metrics from retail stores. Analyze data to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or areas of risk. Compliance Checks: Assist in evaluating compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify potential areas of non-compliance and report findings to the audit team. Report Preparation: Help in drafting audit reports that summarize key findings, recommendations, and action plans. Present findings to senior auditors and retail management teams. Inventory Verification: Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliations at retail locations. Identify and report discrepancies between recorded and actual inventory levels. Process Improvement: Provide suggestions for improving retail processes and controls based on audit findings. Assist in implementing corrective actions recommended by the audit team. Training & Development: Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities, including formal training and on-the-job experience. Stay updated with the latest auditing techniques, tools, and industry best practices. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience are welcome to apply. Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Good communication and interpersonal skills.
