Job Title:
Learning and Development Manager (Blue-Collar Workforce and CSR Initiatives)
Position Overview:
The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager for Blue-Collar Workforce and CSR Initiatives is responsible for designing and implementing skill development programs that empower blue-collar employees while contributing to the organizations Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals. This role combines workforce training with impactful social initiatives, fostering skill enhancement, community development, and sustainable business practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Skills Development
Conduct skill gap analyses to identify training needs among blue-collar employees in areas such as technical skills, safety, and operational excellence.
Develop practical training programs focused on improving productivity, operational efficiency, and compliance.
Implement structured onboarding programs for new recruits, emphasizing role readiness and organizational values.
Leverage local languages and accessible learning methods to ensure effective training delivery.
CSR-Integrated Training Programs
Design and implement CSR-driven training initiatives such as vocational training for underprivileged communities or skill enhancement for employability.
Collaborate with NGOs, government bodies, and local communities to deliver training programs that align with the organizations CSR objectives.
Organize community-focused workshops on health, safety, and financial literacy to benefit employees and their families.
Support programs for women empowerment, youth skill development, and inclusive workforce training.
LVS Group Mandatory Trainings
Ensure mandatory training programs on workplace safety, occupational health, does donts, Code of conduct, Code of Ethics, Induction and compliance standards are effectively delivered.
Regularly review and update safety training content to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Performance and Impact Assessment
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, workforce performance metrics, and CSR impact reports.
Measure improvements in employee productivity, community engagement, and satisfaction levels.
Provide periodic reports to leadership on the success of L&D and CSR initiatives.
Community Engagement and Employee Volunteering
Organize employee volunteering opportunities as part of CSR programs to enhance community engagement.
Foster collaboration between employees and community stakeholders for sustainable development projects.
Encourage employees to participate in initiatives such as tree plantation drives, educational workshops, and health camps.
Technology and Innovation in Training
Use mobile learning tools, gamified training platforms, and simulation-based programs to engage the workforce effectively.
Manage and track all training activities using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Industrial Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Learning and Development, with exposure to blue-collar training or CSR activities.
Experience in community engagement, vocational training, or implementing CSR projects is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies for blue-collar employees.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse groups, including employees, communities, and NGOs.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance, workplace safety standards, and CSR frameworks.
Ability to design programs that address both workforce skill needs and community development goals.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Improvement in blue-collar productivity and compliance metrics post-training.
Number of CSR training programs implemented and beneficiaries impacted.
Workforce engagement scores and participation rates in CSR initiatives.
Reduction in workplace accidents and non-compliance incidents.
Measurable improvements in community well-being and development indicators.
