Greetings from Milan Laboratories (India) Pvt. Ltd.


We are hiring for Learning and Development specialist.


Below are the details:

  • Experience: 8 to 12 years - Pharmaceuticals
  • Job location: Panvel (Also that person will be responsible for L&D of our Dahej factory and HO at Thane - Wagale estate)
  • Candidate should be well versed with Learning and development in pharmaceutical industry.


Role & responsibilities

1. Training Needs Analysis (TNA):

Conduct thorough training needs assessments to identify skill gaps for employees across Production, R&D, and other departments.

Collaborate with department heads (Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, R&D) to align L&D strategies with organizational goals.

2. Compliance and Regulatory Training:

Design and implement GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), and other compliance training programs.

Ensure training on SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, etc.) is up-to-date and documented for audits.

Manage training records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.

3. Technical and Scientific Training:

Develop programs to enhance technical competencies (e.g., handling advanced lab equipment, production machinery, formulation techniques).

Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide specialized training on pharmaceutical processes, including R&D innovation, product development, and clinical trials.

Implement quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) training frameworks.

4. Soft Skills and Leadership Development:

Implement programs for leadership, communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration.

Train managers and team leads to improve their leadership and coaching capabilities.

Focus on change management training for new technologies, systems, or processes.

5. Onboarding and Orientation Programs:

Develop robust onboarding programs for new hires in Production and R&D to ensure faster integration.

Include training on company policies, compliance requirements, safety protocols, and industry regulations.

6. Digital Learning and Innovation:

Implement e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking and delivering training.

Leverage new technologies such as VR/AR for hands-on simulation training in Production and R&D.

Promote a culture of continuous learning through innovative digital tools.

7. Talent and Career Development:

Design and facilitate career development programs to retain and upskill talent.

Support high-potential employees with growth opportunities in technical and leadership roles.

Partner with HR for succession planning and aligning L&D initiatives with talent management.

8. Safety and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Training:

Develop and deliver training on EHS protocols for Production and R&D staff to ensure workplace safety.

Focus on training for handling hazardous chemicals, equipment safety, waste management, and emergency response procedures.

9. Continuous Improvement and Performance Metrics:

Monitor and measure the effectiveness of training programs using KPIs and feedback mechanisms.

Continuously improve training strategies based on employee performance, audit outcomes, and technological advancements.

Regularly report L&D outcomes to senior management to demonstrate ROI (Return on Investment).

10. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with departments like HR, Quality Assurance, Production, R&D, and IT to ensure training aligns with the overall business strategy.

Collaborate with external training vendors or industry associations for specialized training solutions.

11. Organizational Learning Culture:

Foster a learning culture that promotes innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Encourage participation in external workshops, conferences, and professional certifications for skill enhancement.

12. Innovation and Knowledge Management:

Facilitate knowledge transfer between teams, especially in R&D and Production, to ensure process improvements and innovation.

Organize workshops, seminars, and cross-functional forums for research insights and process standardization.
