Lead System Engineer - Engineering Design & Development

Job description:

Systems architecture and design for charging stations. System architecture is the critical process of making high-level decisions about the architecture and design of charging station/other dispensing solutions/vehicle interface units. It sets the foundation for how the system will function and be built. Responsible for overseeing the system architecture, design, development of products and handover all relevant documents for effective installation, operation and maintenance of charging stations and its related systems

Title: Lead System Engineer - Engineering Design & Development

Key responsibilities:

• Understand customer, business requirements and create high-level design of a system & define complete system and component specifications.
• Create design specifications, requirements and rationale documents to aid team members understanding of design decisions. Ensure that all features align with product goals. Organize the system into modular, scalable components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including electrical and electronic engineers, software developers, project and product managers, and analysts, gather requirements to determine the best approach for building and implementing these systems.
• Select the right physical components based on system requirements and technical constraints, choose the right type of operating system and other software components that run on the hardware, defining, and choosing the right system Interfaces that can handle expected usage conditions.
• Identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Define mechanisms that ensure protection against malicious attacks or unauthorized access.
• Create multiple concepts, evaluate, and implement the optimal one.
• Apply problem-solving techniques and guide team towards arriving at solutions.
• Work with cross functional team from Concept prototyping to Launch & thereafter.
• Guide team towards creation and handling of all design and development related processes and documents like, defining SoR, DFMEA, DVP, DF’X’, Interface requirements, etc.

Key requirements :-

• A Bachelor/ Master’s degree in E&E/ECE/CS engineering from premier institute
• 10+ years of experience in system engineering & team management
• Expert level knowledge of electrical, electronic components such as Controllers, Chargers, SMPS, PLC as well as communication protocols such as CAN, RS485, Ethernet, etc.
• Proficiency in programming languages, electrical and electronics systems and related software development and system integration.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
