OpenSystems Developer - System Design (7-10 yrs)

We are seeking a seasoned Open Systems Developer with 7-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in open systems development, including designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance systems.

This role involves working on cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering robust solutions that align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

System Design and Development :

- Develop and maintain open systems solutions to meet business needs.

- Design scalable and efficient architectures for high-performance applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Integration and Optimization :

- Integrate applications with existing systems and third-party services.

- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex issues.

Collaboration and Support :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and product management, to deliver end-to-end solutions.

- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers as needed.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in open systems development.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Technical Skills and Qualifications :

Core Skills :

- Proficiency in open systems platforms (e.g., Unix/Linux).

- Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

- Experience with scripting languages like Shell scripting or Perl.

- Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

- Solid experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using the OutSystems low-code platform.

- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Some responsibilities of an OutSystems developer include :

- Designing, developing, and maintaining applications that are scalable, high-performing, and robust.

- Fixing critical issues, maintaining applications, and performing bug-fixing.

- Developing technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.

- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to standards.

- Developing and executing unit and integration tests, and identifying and resolving technical issues and bugs

Additional Skills :

- Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
