Legal Executive

Key Responsibilities:

Legal & Contract Management:

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to content acquisition, distribution, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
• Maintain and manage legal documentation, contracts, and regulatory filings.
• Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, intellectual property rights, and contractual obligations.

Regulatory Compliance & Policy Adherence:

• Monitor and ensure compliance with the regulatory framework established by TRAI, MIB, and other broadcasting authorities.
• Assist in preparing reports and submissions to regulatory bodies.
• Keep track of legal developments, amendments, and policy changes affecting DTH services.

Dispute Resolution & Litigation Support:

• Provide assistance in handling legal disputes, arbitration, and litigation matters.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel on case proceedings and compliance issues.
• Prepare and review legal notices, responses, and internal reports on ongoing legal matters.

Corporate & Intellectual Property (IP) Matters:

• Assist in managing intellectual property rights, trademarks, and copyright-related issues in broadcasting.
• Support in handling consumer complaints, data protection, and privacy compliance.
• Work closely with internal teams on regulatory matters related to advertising, content guidelines, and customer policies.

Technical & Legal Skills:

• Basic knowledge of broadcasting laws, content licensing, and TRAI/MIB regulations.
• Understanding of contract drafting, negotiations, and corporate legal compliance.
• Familiarity with consumer protection laws, intellectual property laws, and arbitration processes.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and legal research skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple legal matters.

Preferred candidate profile

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or above from a recognized university.
• 02 years of experience in corporate law, media & broadcasting laws, or telecom regulations.
• Preference will be given to candidates from the service industry, particularly telecom, media, or broadcasting sectors.
