Packaging Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Review of the customer project design specifications, communication with Sales/Tendering team to transform the customer requirements into product through order related engineering.

2. Preparation of the customer facing documents such as Pump Cross Section drawings, Pump General Arrangement drawings, P&ID drawings, etc. in 2D or 3D.

3. Review and approval of buyout component drawings & documents related to Motor, Coupling, Mechanical Seal & Systems, ARC Valves, Gear box, VFD, Turbine etc.

4. Review of the Instruments requirement & co-ordination with Instrumentation team.

5. Preparation, check & release of the Bill of Material (BOM) in SAP ERP.

6. Communicate with Customers & sub-suppliers as necessary.

7. Support & coordinate with different teams from Operations, Purchasing, Sales, Quality & Testing during the complete cycle of the order execution.

8. Provide engineering support to pump site commissioning team until successful operation of the equipment supplied.

9. Proactively engage & support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection, and continual improvement

10. Preparation and submission of design calculations, reports and coordinating for customer approvals.

To provide technical assistance to the project team, addressing possible discrepancies, and reviewing, issuing, and following up on comments related to reports, specifications, etc.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from reputed institute.

2. 4-8 years of experience in Centrifugal Pump design field & API standards

3. Must have hands-on experience on AutoCAD, Inventor, NX & Teamcenter.

4. Conversant with the use of the SAP ERP tool.

5. Independent and proactive with good communication & interpersonal skills

6. Managed and executed multiple tasks while taking direction from several sources.

7. High sense of ownership, strong work ethic, focused on details and results-oriented

8. Ability to learn and adapt quickly and a drive for Excellency & Competency
