Job Description

Early stage Food tech industry into events, curated lunch and dinners for conglomerates, promoting home chefs etc. Fas growing early stage start up.

The CTO would be part of the leadership team responsible to plan, drive, and review the delivery of projects in line with the agreed product pipeline. Also, Lead initiatives on transformations and re-engineering of the product platform.

The profile would entail developing Technology and product vision roadmaps. Build, develop, nurture and lead a high performing technology team that understands the ground level business nuances and develops highly scalable technology products. This will be a highly strategic role and would require deep interactions with the customers, suppliers, industry experts, analysts, and internal teams to drive the technology and product vision and execution.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Build, mentor and lead the product engineering organization focused on driving innovation solving complex business problems in scalable manner within a fast-paced agile environment

2. Lead Backend, Frontend, Infrastructure, Architecture, Scalability, server-side engineering, UI, and all other technical aspects of the products and platform

3. Lead design, architecture and development of Delivery Super App, Freight Platform, Embedded services product features, Algorithmic Pricing tools etc.

4. Measure and ensure engineering, product delivery goals are met, at an acceptable velocity and without trading off quality and performance

5. Constantly motivate, mentor, and guide the engineering team members and cultivate an environment of continuous engineering improvement

6. Lead software development teams, obtain necessary resources, act as an escalation point and remove impediments to achieve goals and objectives

7. Lead best practices, suggest appropriate technology and solutions for enhancing product and functional efficiency and deploy best practices among the team in development, code versioning, testing and deployment

Key technical skills and expertise required to execute these responsibilities :

1. Knowledge of front end, middleware, and backend technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, Python, PHP Laravel, Hands-on knowledge of tech framework Java, Python etc.

2. Hands on writing and reviewing code; Exceptional design and architectural skills.

3. Extensive hands-on experience building and managing the development of complex, large scale enterprise products that require a deep understanding of application logic and development of executable technology strategies

4. Proven experience attracting, hiring retaining and leading top engineering talent and high-performance product engineering teams

5. Experience and a deep understanding of Kubernetes, Service Mesh (Istio preferred), API Gateways, Network proxies

6. Demonstrated expertise in development in Machine Learning, Deep Learning based products

7. Expertise in successful implementation/adoption of agile and extreme programming methodologies

8. Brilliant at communication, estimation, and delivery, change management, and leadership capabilities

Qualifications :

- Engineering graduate from a reputed engineering institute with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field a plus

- At least 4+ years active architecture, design, engineering, and implementation experience in a complex product environment, and/or B2B/B2C /SaaS Internet company

- Should have managed large technology team directly or through the hierarchy

The Offer :

- Core Team Status

- Substantial equity; Milestone linked and/ need based compensation (To be re-calibrated to market levels post the Series-A round raise)

- Flexible to discuss any other requirements/model

Location : Gurgaon

Compensation Range INR 4000000 to 6000000 p.a. with ESOPS
