About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Deputy CTO to lead our technology organization and drive the development of cutting-edge banking software solutions. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for setting the technical vision, overseeing the development and implementation of our technology strategy, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.

- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and execute the long-term technology strategy aligned with business objectives.

- Define and implement technology roadmaps and architectural blueprints.

- Oversee the technology budget and resource allocation.

Product Development:

- Drive the development of innovative banking software solutions.

- Ensure the quality, performance, and security of our products.

- Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to define product requirements.

Engineering Excellence:

- Promote best practices in software development, including agile methodologies and DevOps.

- Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and security protocols.

- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Team Management:

- Recruit, hire, and mentor top-tier engineering talent.

- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams.

- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in software development and engineering leadership roles.

- Proven track record in delivering complex software solutions, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.

- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, architectures, and technologies.

- Strong technical expertise in areas such as cloud computing, microservices, API development, and cybersecurity.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong leadership skills with example of motivating and inspiring teams.

- Experience in managing large-scale, distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with banking software and regulatory compliance.

- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and SOX.

- Experience with data analytics and machine learning.

Prerequisite Experience any one of the following:

1. Experience of working in a Startup that works in one of the following functions

a. Card Issuing

b. Loan Management Solution

c. Transaction Monitoring Solutions

d. Switching of any of NPCI Products.

2. Experience of working in Technology Function in

a. Payment Bank

b. Digital Lender

3. Software Consulting organizations

a. Dealing with Infrastructure Management like cloud clusters.

b. Enterprise DevOps Workflows
