Network Manager

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement optimal network designs, including topology, protocols, and network security measures, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Monitor network systems regularly, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Implement and maintain robust network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to safeguard sensitive data against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Assess network performance, identify areas for improvement, and plan and execute upgrades or expansions to meet organizational needs.
• Lead and manage a team of network professionals, providing guidance, training, and support for effective performance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, processes, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting, maintenance, and future enhancements.
• Collaborate with vendors for procurement of network equipment, contract negotiations, and timely delivery of services and support.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware/software failures, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks using diagnostic tools.
• Analyze network performance data and implement strategies for optimization, including bandwidth utilization, throughput, and response times.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure network availability and data backup during network failures or natural disasters.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and wireless networks.
• Proficiency in network management tools, such as network monitoring systems, configuration management, and performance analysis tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to efficiently diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide network professionals effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, and encryption techniques.
• Knowledge of network virtualization technologies, such as SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and virtual private networks (VPNs).
• Familiarity with network performance optimization techniques like Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic shaping.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) are required.
• Proven experience in network administration, preferably in a managerial role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network hardware/software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with network design and implementation, including architecture and capacity planning.
• Strong understanding of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and best practices.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to network security and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Experience in managing:
