Straive - Technical Project Manager - NLP/Artificial Intelligence (8-10 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in AI-NLP (Artificial Intelligence - Natural Language Processing) projects to join our dynamic team.

As a key player in our organization, you will leverage your technical expertise in Python and AI-NLP technologies to lead and deliver innovative projects from inception to completion.

This is a leadership role that combines technical knowledge with strong project management skills, and you will be responsible for ensuring successful project execution while working with a highly skilled team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead AI-NLP projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions while adhering to scope, budget, and timeline constraints.

- Develop detailed project plans and schedules, and ensure all tasks are completed on time.

- Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to technical teams, ensuring the application of best practices in Python development, AI-NLP frameworks, and cloud technologies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in AI-NLP model development and deployment (e.g , text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition).

- Apply deep knowledge of AI-NLP technologies (e.g , NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers) to make informed decisions on model selection, architecture, and deployment strategies.

- Engage with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to define project scope and gather detailed requirements.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to manage expectations, identify project risks, and deliver high-quality AI solutions.

- Regularly communicate project progress, challenges, and milestones to senior management and clients.

- Identify project risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues.

- Lead and manage project dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring projects are delivered smoothly.

- Oversee the implementation of quality assurance practices to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of AI-NLP solutions.

- Manage resource allocation, ensuring that the right skills are applied to the right tasks, and that team members are effectively utilized.

- Monitor project budgets and manage project resources, ensuring financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

- Mentor and coach junior team members, enhancing their skills in AI-NLP and project management.

- Maintain close relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.

- Provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management on project status, challenges, and milestones.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience :

- 8-10 years of professional experience in project management, with a minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience in AI-NLP projects.

- Proven experience managing complex, large-scale AI-NLP projects and working with interdisciplinary teams.

- Strong technical background with expertise in Python development and familiarity with major AI-NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g , NLTK, spaCy, Transformers).

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for deploying AI models and solutions.

- Strong knowledge of AI-NLP concepts such as text classification, entity recognition, language modeling, and sentiment analysis.

- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g, JIRA, Trello, Asana).

- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements
