We are developing a series of food processing units to promote value addition in agricultural produce while fostering regional economic growth. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Factory Technical Consultant - Food & Herb Processing Plants to lead the planning, setup, and operational guidance for multiple food and herb processing units. This role focuses on project management, technical execution, process optimization, compliance adherence, and staff training for facilities such as Curcumin Solvent Extraction, Fruit Juice & Pulping, Medicinal Herb Extraction, Turmeric/Ginger Processing Plant, Chilli Powdering Plant, Bamboo Pelletization Plant and more. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Management ▪ Oversee project phases from design to commissioning, ensuring completion within budget and timelines. ▪ Define infrastructure needs (power, water, storage) and manage risk assessments. 2. Plant Design & Equipment ▪ Design efficient plant layouts and scalable processes with sustainable solutions. ▪ Manage machinery selection, procurement, vendor negotiations, and installation. 3. Process Optimization ▪ Specialize in solvent extraction processes to maximize yield and purity. ▪ Implement cost-saving measures, energy efficiency, and waste management practices. 4. Compliance & Quality ▪ Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, ISO, and other regulatory standards. ▪ Develop SOPs and quality control systems for raw materials and finished products. 5. Training & Capacity Building ▪ Train operators and supervisors in machinery handling, safety, and process optimization. ▪ Build local teams to sustain operations post-handover. 6. Operational Efficiency ▪ Minimize downtime through effective maintenance and troubleshooting. ▪ Establish benchmarks for productivity, scalability, and cost optimization. Key Deliverables • Fully operational curcumin extraction and other processing plants within agreed timelines and budget. • Efficient and compliant plant designs with detailed SOPs and technical documentation. • Trained factory teams capable of independent operations. • Regulatory certifications and sustainable practices integrated into all operations. • Enhanced output efficiency and reduced production costs. Educational Qualifications: Bachelors/ Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields.
