Identify critical systems, applications, and data that require backup and recovery strategies. Backup and Recovery Strategies: Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure regular and reliable data backups. Define recovery point objectives (RPOs) and recovery time objectives (RTOs) for different systems and data sets. Testing and Validation: Conduct regular tests and simulations to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and backup procedures. Identify and address any gaps or weaknesses in the recovery strategies. Incident Response and Recovery: Lead incident response efforts during emergencies or disruptions, ensuring swift and effective recovery of systems and data. Coordinate with relevant teams to restore services and minimize downtime. Risk Assessment and Compliance: Assess potential risks and vulnerabilities to the organization's IT infrastructure and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to disaster recovery and data protection. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of recovery procedures, test results, and incident reports. Provide regular reports and updates to management regarding the status of recovery preparedness and any identified risks.
