Job Title (Internal and External): IT Automation and Integration Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Automation and Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation solutions and integrating various IT systems, including IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, to optimize processes and enhance efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT automation, system integration, scripting, ITSM integrations, and workflow design, with a passion for leveraging technology to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive automation solutions using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and APIs.
Implement automation solutions using industry-standard tools and platforms, adhering to best practices for scalability, reliability, and performance.
Integrate disparate systems and applications, including ITSM platforms, using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or other integration platforms.
Develop and maintain integration solutions to connect disparate IT systems, including ITSM platforms, and automate data exchange, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
Test and validate automation workflows and integrations to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to business requirements, including ITSM processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define workflows, and establish integration points between IT systems and tools, with a focus on ITSM integrations.
Document automation workflows, integration architectures, and best practices for knowledge sharing, reference, and compliance purposes.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT automation, integration, and workflow design to drive continuous improvement.
Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional IT teams, collaborating on troubleshooting and problem resolution efforts.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
10+ years of experience working as an IT Automation Engineer, Integration Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on automation and system integration, including ITSM integrations.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript for automation and integration tasks.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar, as well as workflow orchestration platforms.
Experience with system integration technologies and protocols, such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.
Familiarity with enterprise IT systems such as CRM, ERP, HRIS, and their integration methods, including ITSM platforms.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-based integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Azure Logic Apps, or AWS Lambda.
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments, with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Certification in relevant automation and integration technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Dell Boomi, etc.).
Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools for monitoring and reporting automation workflows and integrations.
