Minimum requirements

Education: Graduate, a Masters degree is an advantage. Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in crew rostering, scheduling, or resource management within the airline or aviation industry. Skills Strong knowledge of crew rostering systems, scheduling software. In-depth understanding of aviation regulations, flight time limitations, and duty hour rules. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational conditions. Ability to analyze large datasets and optimize crew allocation.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Rostering is responsible for overseeing the creation, management, and optimization of crew rosters to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the airline. This role will involve strategic planning, effective resource allocation, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure that the right personnel are scheduled in line with operational needs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Crew Rostering and Scheduling: Oversee the creation and management of crew rosters for flight crew. Ensure optimal crew allocation while balancing operational needs, rest requirements, and legal compliance. Implement and manage automated rostering systems and processes to ensure accurate, efficient scheduling of crew. Monitor daily and weekly roster changes, including any disruptions due to weather, maintenance delays, or other operational factors. 2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all crew schedules comply with regulatory requirements from aviation authorities and company policies. Stay up-to-date with changes in aviation regulations 3. Resource Optimization and Cost Control: Analyze crew utilization to ensure the most cost-effective deployment of resources. Identify areas for improvement in crew rostering and implement strategies to optimize staffing levels, minimize overtime, and reduce costs. 4. Collaboration with Other Departments: Coordinate with flight operations, crew training, and ground services to ensure sufficient crew availability for scheduled flights. Work with the customer service team to accommodate crew requirements for special events or last-minute operational changes. 5. Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain reporting systems to track key rostering metrics, including crew utilization, overtime, and compliance with duty regulations. Provide regular updates to senior management on crew roster status, potential issues, and staffing requirements. Prepare and present reports on rostering efficiency, cost savings, and operational effectiveness. 6. Crisis Management: Handle emergency scheduling issues, including crew call-outs, sick leaves, and operational disruptions. Develop contingency plans for crew shortages, including proactive solutions to address last-minute changes and minimize operational disruptions.
