Our client, a leading manufacturer of Lead Alloys & Lead Oxides is looking to hire a De-Facto CEO Operations
- Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
- Education Criteria: B.E/B. Tech/M. Tech/MBA
Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the lead recycling, smelting, or related industry.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale production facilities, including experience in lead processing, refining, and compound production.
Job summary:
- A De-Facto CEO Operations is responsible for the overall management, direction, and leadership of the Lead Recycling Plant.
- The GM will oversee all operations, including the collection, sorting, smelting, refining, alloying, and production of lead compounds (red lead, grey oxide, litharge), as well as the recycling of plastics.
- The role requires a strong focus on operational efficiency, safety, environmental compliance, quality control, and strategic planning to ensure the plants profitability and sustainability.
Key responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership
- Oversee Plant Operations- Manage all aspects of the plants operations, including lead recycling, smelting, refining, alloying, and lead compound production (red lead, grey oxide, litharge)
- Process Optimization- Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize output.
- Resource Management- Ensure optimal use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and raw materials, to achieve production targets.
- Production Planning- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality
- Technology Integration- Lead the adoption of new technologies and automation to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.
2. Environmental and Safety Compliance
- Regulatory Compliance- Ensure the plant operates in full compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, particularly regarding lead emissions, waste disposal, and hazardous material handling.
- Safety Management- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees, the community, and the environment from potential hazards.
- Sustainability Initiatives- Drive initiatives that minimize the plants environmental impact, including reducing emissions, energy consumption, and waste generation.
3. Financial Management
- Budgeting- Develop and manage the plants annual budget, ensuring that financial targets are met and expenditures are controlled.
- Cost Control- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or safety.
- Profitability Analysis- Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor the plants profitability and make strategic adjustments as needed.
4. Strategic Planning
- Business Development - Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth, including expanding market share, developing new products, and exploring new markets.
- Long-term Planning- Develop and execute a long-term strategy for the plant, aligning with the companys overall goals and objectives.
- 0 Innovation- Foster a culture of innovation within the plant, encouraging the team to develop and implement new ideas for process improvement and product development.
5. Quality Control
- Quality Assurance- Ensure all products, including pure lead, lead alloys, red lead, grey oxide, and litharge, meet stringent quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement - Implement a continuous improvement program focused on enhancing product quality, reducing defects, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Customer Relations- Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met through high-quality products and services.
6. Human Resource Management
- Team Leadership- Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers, engineers, and production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Talent Development- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the workforce.
- Performance Management- Establish performance goals for the team and conduct regular evaluations to ensure objectives are met.
7. Stakeholder Engagement
- Internal Communication- Maintain open lines of communication with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other senior executives, providing regular updates on plant performance and strategic initiatives.
- External Relation- Represent the plant in dealings with government agencies, industry associations, suppliers, and the local community.
Skills & Competencies:
- Operational Expertise- Deep understanding of lead recycling processes, including smelting, refining, alloying, and lead compound production.
- Leadership- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Financial Acumen- Excellent financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Safety and Compliance- Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards related to lead recycling and processing.
- Strategic Thinking- Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Communication- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Work Environment:
- The position is based in a heavy industrial setting with exposure to high temperatures, noise, and hazardous materials.
- The GM is expected to spend significant time on the plant floor, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards
