Job Description: Site Head - Chemical Industry
Position: Site HeadIndustry: Specialty Chemicals
Experience: 10-15 years
Educational Qualification: BE Chemical
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Achieve production targets within the set schedule and budget while minimizing losses.
- Monitor and maintain product quality parameters and ensure adherence to safe operational procedures.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure optimal plant performance by reviewing and implementing new schemes to improve productivity and achieve operational targets.
- Lead and organize technical synergies among units, focusing on benchmarking operational and maintenance standards.
Financial Planning & Control:
- Develop, review, and implement CAPEX schemes within the planned budget and timelines.
- Participate actively in planning, budgeting, and cost control processes.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Ensure adherence to all statutory compliance related to HSE.
- Promote implementing Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage the site team, including Supervisors, Operators, and Technicians, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient operations.
Reporting & Benchmarking:
- Establish robust reporting mechanisms to communicate operational performance effectively to the Function Head - Technical.
- Benchmark operational standards to drive continuous improvement.

Reporting To: Function Head - Technical
Reported By: Supervisors, Operators, Technicians
Unit Location Brief:
- Unit Capacity: Details to be provided.
- Total Manpower: Information as per organizational structure.
- Township Availability: Information on housing and township facilities for employees.
- City Accessibility: Proximity to major cities and transport facilities.
- Educational Institutions: Availability of K12 schools and colleges in the vicinity.
Key Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent technical expertise in speciality chemicals production.
- Proficiency in planning, budgeting, and cost management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IMS and WCM practices.
- Ability to ensure compliance with HSE standards and statutory requirements.
Note: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving productivity, operational excellence, and HSE compliance in a speciality chemicals environment.
