About the role:

You will be responsible for scouting of potential football athletes as per the technical, physiological, psychological and other athletic related scouting criteria of RoundGlass Punjab Football. You will plan and execute scouting campaigns, prepare technical analysis, and collaborate with the cross functional elements of RG Sports to ensure a continuous pipeline of building football talent for the organization.

What you'll do:

• To create, collate and monitor scouting intelligence effectively, using all available resources.
• Identify potential Youth Teams, Reserve Team and First Team transfer targets (Foreign and Domestic)
• To develop a network of contacts in youth football India and specified age range order to maximise coverage and ensure the Club has a working knowledge of all talented young players.
• To maintain a working knowledge of all players who have either previously been signed/registered with the Academy but have since been released or have had unsuccessful periods of training and assessment, in order to identify any potential late developers.
• To maintain and submit accurate and detailed records of all matches attended and players scouted and monitor scouting database.
• Create and present Talent ID Videos on request.
• Deliver regular training to the Video Scouts and Consultants to ensure they are reporting correctly and understand the PFC Style of Play.
• Create and present a Scouting Report / scouting Plan requested.
• Carry out extensive background checks on players that have been identified as potential transfer targets.
• Keep confidential any information gained regarding the transfer targets, Club and its personnel.
• Plan the positions to scout and the budget for each position. Creating a scouting network to find the best talent.
• Make a list of the tournaments and teams to target depending on the level of recruitment needs.
• Organize Trials in Punjab and in India and capture Success Metrics.
• Target the local talents if the budget is low or the club wants to promote local talents.
• Eye test with the correct data is the key to the right scouting. Background checks for the players about his on and off-the-field behaviour.
• To maintain the Scouting Annual Plan, Concept notes , Goals, success metrics .
• Analysing matches from the Indian Super League (ISL) and Super Cup. Research on ISL, I-League, State League, Youth Leagues to check the trends and adapt to the upcoming season.
• Gathering and organizing match data, including player performance statistics, tactical insights, and opponent analysis. Maintain all types of Statistics of players in the I League, 2nd Division, State Leagues, Youth League etc.
• Utilising video analysis tools to dissect gameplay and identify areas for improvement.
• Research on players potential for recruitment (Stats and Video)
• Collaborating with the Football Director and Lead of scouting department to provide comprehensive reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Football Scout and/or, a professional Football Coach
• Professional Scouting or Coaching certification; ability for technical analysis of athletes from Football
• Communication skills with an ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholder groups
• Process orientation to manage and organize activities / schedules / tasks in a systematic manner
• Ability to collaborate successfully as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve performance and wellbeing objectives of athletes / team.
