Job Description: Program Manager (Heavy Client Facing Role)

Location: Mumbai, India Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week (office-based)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team in Mumbai. This is an external-facing role that requires a strong client focus and extensive experience in managing relationships with public sector banks. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the service-based industry, such as IBM, TechM, or TCS, and possess exceptional client and vendor management skills.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage large-scale programs for our clients in the public sector banking industry, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

2. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, and acting as a trusted advisor.

3. Understand client requirements, objectives, and priorities, and translate them into effective program strategies and plans.

4. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including development, implementation, and support, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of program activities.

5. Conduct regular meetings and status updates with clients to address concerns, provide progress updates, and manage expectations.

6. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the public sector banking industry, including regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and emerging trends.

7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation.

8. Monitor program performance metrics, track key milestones, and provide timely reports to clients and senior management.

9. Effectively manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.

10. Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and market trends to provide strategic guidance and recommendations to clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration). A master's degree is a plus.

2. Minimum of 12-15 years of work experience in the service-based industry, with a strong focus on client and vendor management.

3. Extensive experience working with public sector banks, ideally within a consulting or technology services organization.

4. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale programs, delivering high-quality solutions, and exceeding client expectations.

5. Strong understanding of the public sector banking industry, including its unique challenges, regulatory environment, and business processes.

6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.

7. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.

9. Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and driving customer satisfaction.

10. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile or Waterfall, and project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are desirable.
