Azure Infrastructure Engineer - Operating Systems (5-6 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Operating System Support :

- Provide support for operating systems including Windows and Linux environments.

Azure Infrastructure Management :

- Support and enhance monitoring for Azure infrastructure and virtual machines.

- Act as a subject matter expert for Azure Public Cloud, including platform services like cloud networking, storage, and PaaS services.

- Assist with Azure architecture and infrastructure design.

Azure Application & Integration Services :

- Support and manage application services hosted on Microsoft Azure, such as Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, and Azure Logic Apps.

- Support integration services hosted on Azure, including Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.

Security & Monitoring :

- Maintain and monitor Azure Defender and collaborate with the team on recommended remediations.

- Manage Azure Key Vault, certificates, and secret policies for security compliance.

Resource Optimization & Cost Management :

- Leverage native Azure tools for resource optimization, cost management, and budgeting to ensure efficient use of cloud resources.

Disaster Recovery :

- Support disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and documentation to ensure preparedness for potential DR events.

Collaboration and Design Support :

- Collaborate with customer teams to understand and support infrastructure requirements and design needs.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Utilize Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Azure DevOps pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment and management.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting Azure infrastructure.

- Solid experience with Azure services, including Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.

Cloud & Platform Expertise :

- Deep knowledge of Azure Public Cloud, including services like Cloud Networking, Storage, and PaaS services.

- Experience working with Azure Defender for security monitoring and remediation.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Azure DevOps pipelines for IaC deployment and management.

Operating Systems :

- Proficiency in supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Disaster Recovery & Security :

- Experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) processes and knowledge of managing Azure Key Vault, certificates, and security policies.

Cost Management :

- Knowledge of Azure tools for resource optimization and cost management.

Communication & Collaboration :

- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with both internal teams and customers.

Preferred Skills :

Certifications :

- Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Scripting Skills :

- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is beneficial
