Deputy Manager/Manager Solar Module Quality

Job Overview

Evaluation of various module technologies, Module and solar cell supply agreement, Pre-bid support, Module factory inspection.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Sound knowledge of Solar PV technology. Have worked on various module technologies i.e Poly crystalline, mono crystalline, thin film, bifacial P/N type, N Topcon, HJT etc.
• Well verse with latest IEC standards IEC61215, IEC 61730, BIS and other standards related to modules.
• Solar Cell/Module technical Benchmarking, Preparation of technical exhibit for module supply agreement.
• Clearly define EL and Visual criteria for cells and modules. Define inspection levels, sampling plans, Acceptable quality limits, pass/fail criteria.
• Detailed discussion with module suppliers closing technical requirements and quality benchmarks, review of IEC reports, BIS reports, benchmarking of modules supplier w.r.t energy generation and Bill of material.
• Finalization Bill of material for Solar module with OEM.
• Finalization & close monitoring of solar cell/module inline inspection plans, pre -shipment inspections, internal and external reliability testing,
• Prepare and finalize scope of work for Third party inspection agency and third-party reliability testing labs.
• Preparation of internal and external reliability testing plans and criteria for pass fail for solar cells/Solar modules.
• Conduct factory audits, inline inspections, PSI and responsible for releasing MDCC.
• Conduct a module due diligence in M&A project. Conduct site visits and module testing at site and provide observations on quality and performance of modules.
• Assist in setting up pilot projects and Performance monitoring of these projects. Providing observations & conclusions from these projects.

Qualifications

• BE/B Tech Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 6 to 8 years (relevant experience in module production /quality inspections/module technology evaluation).
• Required Knowledge of MS office, technical content writing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, good analytical skills, pro-active, Sound knowledge about solar plants.
• Required travelling to site & factories within India.Role & responsibilities
