Role :

We are seeking an experienced IBM i RPGLE Developer and Systems Administrator to join the IBM i Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting RPGLE-based in-house written applications on IBM i (AS/400), while also managing and administering the IBM i environment for optimal performance and security. This dual role requires technical expertise in both software development and system administration to ensure seamless integration and efficient operations.

Mandatory Skills :

- Proficiency in RPGLE programming, including experience with free-form RPG and legacy RPG.

- Experience with IBM i (AS/400) system administration and management.

- Strong understanding of DB2 for i, including query writing and optimization.

- Familiarity with IBM i security features, including user profiles, security policies, and system-level access.

- Development on CodeVS and Implementer.

- Knowledge of CL (Control Language).

- Experience with IBM Navigator for i and other IBMi management tools.

- Proficient in SQL for IBM i and the integration of RPGLE with SQL queries.

- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures specific to IBM i.

- Knowledge of networking concepts and configuration on IBM i.

- Familiarity with Job Scheduler and managing batch jobs.
