Job Description

Role & responsibilities


1. Strategic Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Lead and manage the digital collections strategy for frontend buckets (typically Pre-due & Post due 0-30/60/90 days past

due) to optimize performance and improve recovery rates.

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance collection efforts and exceed performance goals.
  • Use industry best practices to create effective workflows that drive team productivity and efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor, assess, and report on the effectiveness of collection strategies and processes, implementing

changes as needed.

2. Data Analytics & Insights:

  • Leverage data analytics to understand client behavior, payment patterns, and trends in the early bucket stage.
  • Provide insights to senior leadership and clients on collection performance, helping to drive decisions and adjustments in

strategies.

  • Monitor and analyses key performance indicators (KPIs) for early bucket collections, identifying areas for improvement

and implementing corrective actions.

  • Leverage field management proficiency to understand and predict data reactions and implement responsive strategies

to enhance collection outcomes.

  • Juggling the data between contact center to field with optimized and structured approach to elevate collections with

rich customer experience

3. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of digital collection specialists, ensuring alignment with team and organizational

goals.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving team development and providing coaching to enhance

performance.

  • Promote collaboration, open communication, and teamwork to achieve common objectives and maintain high levels of

morale and motivation.

4. Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong, transparent relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Present performance reports, analytics, and actionable insights to clients, demonstrating the value and impact of digital

collection strategies.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding early bucket collection issues, providing updates and resolving

any concerns or queries.

5. Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Work closely with other departments (such as IT, Legal, and Finance) to ensure seamless integration of collection

strategies and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Drive continuous improvements in digital collection tools, systems, and platforms to enhance effectiveness and

customer experience.

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy laws and compliance requirements in all collection activities.

6. Transparency & Trust Building:

  • Establish and maintain clear communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to promote transparency in

the collection process.

  • Foster a culture of trust through honest, open communication, setting realistic expectations, and ensuring that promises

made to clients and internal teams are consistently met.


7. Continuous Improvement & Best Practices Implementation:

  • Implement industry best practices for digital collections and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Identify gaps in the current digital collection processes and recommend enhancements to drive higher efficiencies.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in digital collections to ensure compliance and

competitiveness.

  • Ensure the digital collection process adheres to all legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

8. Performance Reporting & Metrics:

  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and

opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide data-driven insights and make strategic recommendations to optimize collection efforts and drive recovery

rates.

  • Ensure all performance targets and KPIs are met or exceeded.


Preferred candidate profile


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital collections, specifically in the Pre-due & Post due 0-30/60/90 days past

due buckets.

  • Proven record of enhancing digital collection performance using data-driven strategies.
  • Strong understanding of digital collection platforms, including automated messaging systems, IVR, SMS, email

collections, and mobile apps.

  • Experience in late-stage collection strategies and managing the lifecycle of collections for high-risk portfolios.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics, including SQL, Excel, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g.,

Tableau, Power BI).

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, collection management platforms, and collection automation tools.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning techniques in collections, particularly in predictive analytics, automated

dialing, and optimization algorithms.
