System Integrator - Unix/Shell Scripting (6-11 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on, and self-motivated system integrator to join us as a consultant and work on the data center migration efforts for our electronic finance systems. The role will perform hands-on system migration work to seamlessly relocate our sophisticated, large-scale finance systems to the new data center in the Asia region.

The ideal candidate is expected to have hands-on experience in system migration, and deployment under a UNIX/Linux environment, with excellent communication skills. By performing the role, the candidate will have the opportunity to operate on large-scale electronic financial systems by working with cross-Asia region teams.

Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including upper/downstream systems, and hardware infra team to define a migration strategy, timeline, and risk mitigation plan.

- Perform the pre-migration testing and build up automation/tooling.

- Execute actual migration of the electronic finance systems to the new data center.

- Perform the post-migration validation and ensure the system's integrity after migration.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the migration.

- Coordinate with internal teams and PMO to make sure the migration milestones are met.

Requirements :

- Hands-on system operation experience under Unix/Linux.

- Proficient in one of the scripting languages : Python or Unix/Linux shell script.

- General understanding and some exposure to C++ and Java.

- Knowledge of network, understand TCP/IP and UDP connectivity and data transfer.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Highly Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

- Experience in system migration of large-scale systems under Unix/Linux.

- Experience in maintaining and operating electronic finance systems.
