Job Title: Zonal Sales Manager
Job Purpose:
Lead and manage sales performance for the assigned zone to achieve or exceed sales targets and key brand performance indicators (KPIs). Build and coach high-performing sales teams, establish strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure alignment with the brand and national strategies. Operate with integrity and in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance to meet or exceed targets within allocated budgets.
- Develop and coach the sales team to optimize performance, set clear targets, and implement incentive schemes.
- Manage and lead cross-functional in-field teams, ensuring alignment with brand strategies and seamless collaboration across functions.
- Develop and execute regional engagement and account plans in alignment with national priorities.
- Monitor regional performance, consolidate insights, and provide inputs for brand planning to address market dynamics.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including high-prescribing physicians and other key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Ensure strategic execution of district priorities to drive brand success.
- Provide timely and qualitative market intelligence to optimize brand strategies.
-Maintain ethical standards and ensure compliance with AbbVie's business code of conduct and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 2 years as a Regional Sales Manager in the biotech/pharma industry.
- Proven leadership and coaching skills, with a strong ability to develop talent.
- Demonstrated success in sales and stakeholder relationship management.
- Strategic planning and execution excellence in a matrix environment.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages as per region preferred.
- Knowledge of the local territory and established relationships with key stakeholders.
- Preferred experience in marketing or other commercial roles in biotech/pharma.
