Software engineer - (Electronics - Embedded Skills)

Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop and verify embedded controls software components for company System.
Enhance existing controls software.
Integrate the developed/modified components with other software components to build a new software version.
Develop and execute unit, system and regression tests using simulation environment to verify the software designs.
Download generated software build into controller boards and perform system validation involving bench testing.
Responsible for participating in the following phases of the software lifecycle.
Requirement analysis, Software design, Implementation, Unit test, System testing, Regression Testing.
Solves product problems using a process that protects the customer (must use tools like 7 Step PPS, RACI, SOW, PUGH Matrix, DOE); determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; and identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.
Understanding of Finite State Machine, Flow diagram, design documentation into Integrity, PVCS (version control manager).
Conduct Governor class testing (Genset tuning), Transient Testing on Genset, Controller simulators, use of Industry Communication Protocol and tools such as Datalink, CAN, Modbus, Visio, PCAN, I2C, UART, SPI, Ethernet, Network Topology, Telematics etc.
Perform bench simulations to Genset Paralleling, Genset electrical integration, (Harness, Sensor, Actuator, Switch gears, breakers, charging alternator) along with Feedback Control Loops/Theory (PG Programs) such as AVR, Voltage Regulation, Speed Governing, main alternator frequency settings, CT output, PLC, 3rd Party interfacing, etc.
Understand and support into PSHA (Product Safety & Hazard Analysis) and Product risk assessment, UL Certifications, etc. Understand standards like: IS0-8528, SAE-J1939, Create / Update System iDFMEA.
Receive and acknowledge PE Control mail group PSE customer requirements and respond within SLA (defined timelines) based on task category, manage and address escalations if there. Arrange meetings with stakeholders for line down critical issues reported from Global customers, EMS, and Company Plant team.

Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications: B.E. (Electrical/ Electronics)
Experience: 4-8 years with working experience in Microcontroller 16/32, CAN, SPI, I2C, J1939, basic knowledge about embedded hardware.
Good to have Control Systems basic knowledge, Genset controllers and Actuators, BLDC motor control experience
Support to warranty parts system engineering analysis and submit related root cause analysis report..
