Job Summary

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes by analyzing workflows, optimizing capacity, balancing production lines, and implementing Lean Manufacturing tools. The role focuses on time study, process layout, capacity optimization, and MES integration to drive operational excellence in our fabrication unit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Time Study & Process Optimization

• Conduct time & motion studies to analyze and improve cycle times.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the fabrication process (Stamping, Punching, Bending, Grinding, Welding).
• Implement ergonomic and automation solutions to improve labor efficiency.

2. Line Balancing & Capacity Optimization

• Develop line balancing strategies to ensure uniform workload distribution.
• Optimize machine and labor utilization to increase throughput.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to match demand with capacity.

3. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

• Deploy Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, SMED, VSM) for process improvement.
• Implement error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) and waste reduction initiatives.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement (CI) through training and engagement.

4. Process Layout & Factory Optimization

• Design and reconfigure plant layouts to improve workflow and material movement.
• Ensure optimized workstation ergonomics and safety compliance.
• Use AutoCAD/SolidWorks for designing and modifying layouts.

5. MES (Manufacturing Execution System) & Digitalization

• Integrate MES and Industry 4.0 technologies into manufacturing processes.
• Utilize real-time production data for decision-making and process control.
• Work closely with IT and automation teams to optimize shop floor visibility.

Key Qualifications & Skills

✅ Education: B.E./B.Tech in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering.
✅ Experience: 2-5 years in industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, or process optimization in a fabrication/manufacturing setup.
✅ Technical Expertise:

• Time Study, Work Measurement, Line Balancing
• Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S, VSM, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, SMED)
• Process Layout Design & Capacity Optimization
• MES, Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing Systems
• ERP (SAP, Oracle) & AutoCAD/SolidWorks
