Role Overview:

The Distribution Board R&D Manager will lead research and development activities for our distribution board product line. This includes designing innovative products, enhancing existing designs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Design and Development:
• Lead the design and development of new distribution boards and related products.
• Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, performance criteria, and industry standards.

2. Innovation and Technology Advancement:

• Explore and implement new technologies to enhance product functionality and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.
• Monitor market trends and competitor products to maintain a \competitive edge.

3. Bill of Material (BOM) Management:

• Develop and manage detailed Bills of Material (BOM) for all product designs and updates.
• Ensure accuracy in BOM to facilitate seamless production planning and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to streamline material sourcing based on BOM requirements.

4. Project Management:

• Manage multiple R&D projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product rollout.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.

5. Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure products comply with national and international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, IS).
• Oversee testing and certification processes in collaboration with third-party laboratories.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.

6. Team Leadership:

• Build, mentor, and manage a team of R&D engineers and technicians.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training opportunities.

7. Customer and Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Interact with clients to gather feedback and customize products based on their requirements.
• Work with suppliers to source high-quality materials for product development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7-12 years of experience in R&D within the electrical manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of distribution board design, assembly, and testing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation software.
• Experience in compliance and certification processes (e.g., ISI, CE).
