Automation Test Lead/Architect - Playwright Testing (8-12 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architect Testing Frameworks :

- Design and implement scalable, robust, and efficient test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cucumber etc.,) and tools (Zephyr, JIRA, Jenkins.,)

- Ensure compatibility with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

2. Technical Leadership :

- Provide technical guidance to the testing team and resolve complex testing challenges.

- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in testing.

3. Test Strategy Development :

- Define comprehensive testing strategies for functional, performance, security, and regression testing.

- Develop metrics to measure test coverage, effectiveness, and quality assurance.

4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and operations, to ensure alignment on quality goals.

- Communicate testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders effectively.

5. Automation & Tools Implementation:

- Evaluate, recommend, and implement testing tools and technologies.

- Drive automation to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

6. CI/CD & Automation :

- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Wildfly to automate the build, testing, and deployment processes.

- Enable rapid development and deployment cycles through automated testing and streamlined code deployment.

7. Containerization & Orchestration :

- Use Docker for containerizing microservices and Kubernetes for orchestration, ensuring that services are deployed and scaled efficiently in cloud environments.

8. Mentorship and Training:

- Mentor and upskill team members in advanced testing techniques and tools.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Required Qualifications :

- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in tools like Selenium, Appium, JMeter, TestNG, Postman, SonarQube and/or equivalent.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C#.

- Strong understanding of microservices testing, API testing, and database testing.

- Messaging Queues: Proficiency with Kafka and other messaging queue systems for real-time data streaming.

- Certifications: Preferred certifications like ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Test Architect (CTArc), or equivalent.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
