SpectraMedix - Cloud Architect - Azure Services (10-13 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Architect with a strong background in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, relevant 4-5 years dedicated to Azure. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure, optimizing costs, and ensuring the efficient operation of our cloud environments.

Candidates with certifications in Azure Fundamentals, Azure Solution Architect, or Cloud System Engineering are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architecting Solutions : Design and plan cloud-based solutions, considering scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Creating architecture diagrams, selecting appropriate Azure services, and ensuring alignment with business requirements.

Cloud Infrastructure Deployment :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on Azure.

- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.

Cost Optimization and Management :

- Analyze and monitor cloud costs, implement strategies for cost reduction and efficiency.

- Utilize Azure Cost Management and Billing tools to track and report on spending.

- Identify and implement cost-saving measures such as right-sizing resources, using reserved instances, and eliminating waste.

Operational Excellence :

- Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency using scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI).

- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.

Collaboration and Leadership :

- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

- Participate in architecture and design reviews to provide insights and recommendations.

Support and Maintenance :

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.

- Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning.

- Maintain up-to-date documentation for architecture, processes, and procedures.

In summary, the Azure Cloud System Architect plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based solutions, contributing to the success of SpectraMedix by leveraging cloud computing.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Advanced degree preferred.

Certifications :

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or.

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert or.

- Relevant Cloud System Engineering certifications.

Experience :

- Minimum of 10 years in cloud technologies, with relevant 4-5 Years in Architectural role.

- Proven experience in deploying and managing Azure infrastructure and services.

- Demonstrated expertise in cost management and optimization strategies on Azure.

Preferred Skills and Competencies :

- In-depth knowledge of Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Database, etc.

- Experience with cloud governance frameworks and best practices.

- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Git).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS :

- Work with minimal supervision and be proactive.

- Able to manage multiple concurrent projects.

- Must be flexible and able to work on occasional nights and weekends.

- Must be available for off-hour support on a regular rotation schedule.
