Accountant (US Accounting & Payroll)

Job Responsibilities:

• Have experience on USA or India accounting.
• Have experience in collecting time sheets, creating and collecting invoices.
• Have experience in book keeping, maintain accounts and accounts re conciliation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals for payment processing.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and Receivable.
• Generate customer invoices and ensure accuracy of billing information.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile discrepancies between payments and invoices.
• Process payroll transactions accurately and timely using payroll processing tools such as Heartland or Gusto, etc.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations related to payroll processing.
• Collaborate with HR department on employee onboarding/offboarding processes related to payroll.
• Prepare payroll-related reports and assist with payroll tax filings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Ceipal and as well as payroll processing tools like Heartland, Gusto, etc.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax regulations related to payroll processing is a plus.
