Area Sales Executive

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets by developing and implementing sales strategies, and manage a defined territory to identify new business opportunities and build relationships.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and competitive threats, and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales decisions.
• Develop effective sales strategies for modern trade channels (supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores) and collaborate with teams to launch new products and promotions.
• Follow up and qualify leads quickly to determine opportunity status, and maintain accurate sales records, inventory management, and customer interactions using CRM software.
• Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules, and provide input on business conditions affecting sales.
• Understand and communicate customer requirements to match the division's capabilities, utilize divisional resources, and report weekly and monthly sales to the Area Sales Manager (ASM).

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-5 years of experience in FMCG or field sales, with a focus on modern trade channels.
• Strong understanding of FMCG marketing principles.
• Excellent communication skills for building strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills and sales experience are preferred.
• Proficiency in the local language is mandatory (Kannada for Bangalore, Gujarati for Ahmedabad).
